So far I have one person expressing concern about not being able to complete his/her prompt in a month. If there are more people interested in a longer working period, I can officially extend the time limit to around 45 days or even 60 days. The reason why I'm considering an extension is that I noticed that the deadline for melorasworld's fanart contest over at the History of Hyrule is September 30. Her contest needs as much love and support as the exchange, and I don't want people to miss out on either the exchange or the contest because of the time constraint.

I don't normally ask for help, but this time around we have some unique requests and offers...

In the making department, currently we have two people (Searaph and Selenere) who are interested in making crafts. We also have someone who really wants to write (looking specifically for Marin-related prompt or prompts that work well as fic). I think I need to start recruiting writers to the group--our resident writer is getting a bit lonely. :( If you are interested in craft or fic, please contact me.

In the receiving department, I'm looking for someone who can fulfill any of these requests. I need a crafty person who can either make miniature items that can be attached to a cord or wearable items (like cap). I'm also looking for someone who likes to make icons or graphics. If you're interested in fulfilling any of these request, let me know. The person who made these requests did include some art requests so if you end up not deciding to do any of these crafty prompts, you can still have the choice of doing a drawing.

Hey everyone~ Round 6 looked to be another successful round. Everyone did their prompts and received their gifts (I think?!). I'm thinking about fitting another round before the school year starts again. Currently I'm leaning towards another regular gift exchange round for Round 7 with the sign up in July and working month in August though if you guys have suggestions for a special round or theme, feel free to post your ideas here or send me a note. The tentative schedule is the following:

(I send out the assignment around July 30)

What do you guys think? This isn't set in stone so we can change stuff around if needed.

I've never drawn Impa before and seldomly draw child Zelda in her princessy suit (hmm...Zelda in a suit ) so here it is! This would be set in Ocarina of Time sometime after Link acquires all the spiritual stones and Ganondorf takes over Hyrule Castle forcing Zelda and Impa to flee. I imagine they would hide in ruins bordered by forest but my background doesn't portray that too well.

Then she finds out that she has to wear a dress. An all-out bad day. But if there’s one thing that would take the cake, it’s that Tetra gets left behind while Link and the worst king ever attempts to thwart her enemy in her stead. All “for her safety” to boot. A tale of what really happened beneath the waves... and a tale of how princesses shouldn’t just be damsels in distress.

The Exchange in Five Simple Steps
When the moderators announce the exchange, you will have 2 to 3 weeks to sign up for that particular round.

The moderators will then match up people based on their interests and requests and send out the requests.

Once you receive your assignment, you have one month to complete and send your work to the moderators for final approval/record keeping.

At the end of the one month period, the community is open for posting. You have one week to present your gift in the community LJ so your person and the rest of the community can see and comment your lovely work.

Once display week is over, the remaining unclaimed requests are opened for anyone to fulfill until the start of the next round.

We're mainly look for groups that share similar interest or function as us (Legend of Zelda fans, community-oriented groups, or gift exchange), but we're really not that strict so we'll affiliate with almost any group. If I have not responded to your request, chances are I didn't see it so please contact me again (especially considering that I was on hiatus from the net for like two years)!

The special theme round is ending soon, but you can still submit your works here and at our DeviantArt group. As long as your work fit the requirements that 1) it has either of the themes and 2) created after January 18 of this year.

I haven't really post much here lately, but I've been pretty busy dealing with behind the scene stuff. I've been gathering and collating the pieces that have been submitted to the group. I still have to write up a proper guidelines for the DA group, but there shouldn't be any major changes affecting activities here in LJ.

Tentative Schedule
Ok, I think round 6 is a go. I should be able to organize and start the next round even though I might have a friend coming to visit and also a short trip in April. This is the tentative schedule though I want to run it by you guys to see if you want to change anything.

Sign Up Period: March 19 - April 9
Working Period: April 19 - May 14
Display Week: May 14 - May 21

Three weeks to sign up, about a month (+ extension if needed) to work on your assignment, and the usual one week to display work. I'm debating whether or not to let people submit their work as soon as they're done instead of making them wait for display week. Then again, most people get their stuff done at the last minute anyway. *cough*me*cough* What do you think?

The theme of the contest is Musical Festival and the purpose of the contest is to gather images that will be used for a free, downloadable calendar. The prizes are fantastic.
